Aircraft credits

These aircraft use premade exterior models, with their creators’ original shapes, UV maps and liveries. The A320 has been adapted for moving airport activity with detailed close views and lighter distant views. The 777 and Citation X remain parked examples.

Airbus A320-232 · Qatar Airways and British Airways

FlightGear A320-family contributors, including Thorsten Herrmann and Semir Gebran for the 3D model and textures. Imported from the A320-family source repository, commit e11abae58872.

Qatar Airways A7-AHW and British Airways G-EUUC both use the source’s A320-232 configuration with IAE V2500 engines and wingtip fences. Their original matching fuselage and engine paint is retained.

The British Airways paint is by the A320-family-liveries contributors, commit 6673dc43d191. Its original configuration XML, textures and editable XCF paint sources are included in the source download.

Emirates Boeing 777-300ER

Uses the original Emirates A6-EPA livery and the source XML’s material assignments. This is the passenger 777-300ER exterior.

Cessna Citation X

Original aircraft by Syd Adams, from the official FlightGear 2020 aircraft archive. This older exterior has simpler geometry and surface detail than the airliners.

License: GNU GPL version 2 or later, recorded in the FlightGear aircraft documentation. The archive does not include a separate COPYING file; see the retained license evidence note and full GPL version 2 text.

Conversion and limits

Modified for this local airport on 13 September 2026: exterior extraction, source-selected engines and paint, exclusion of hidden alternatives and simulator effect planes, coordinate conversion, tyre-based ground fit, browser materials and distance variants. The A320’s source-defined doors, fans, wheels, landing gear and control surfaces are connected to airport activity through a reusable browser animation adapter. Some small gear linkage kinematics are approximated. Ground steering uses a level axle instead of running the source caster and suspension model; small rolling tyre profile variations are about 6 mm.

Local gate equipment fits the baggage belt to a usable cargo opening above the door seal and the fuel coupling to the actual wing underside. The original source-derived attachment coordinates remain in model metadata. These are visual fits, not manufacturer-surveyed service sockets.

Original source files are retained unchanged. Converted assets retain their respective GPL licenses; the conversion scripts and A320 animation adapter carry their own source license notices. The download also includes the gate equipment and ground vehicle adapters written for this airport visualization. Those local adapters are not work by the upstream aircraft creators.

This is an airport visualization, not a full flight simulator. The models’ dimensions come from their source meshes. Airline allocation and parking positions are illustrative. No airline, aircraft manufacturer or source author endorses this reconstruction.

The software and assets are provided without warranty. License and source availability apply to the aircraft assets independently of the airport’s maps and imagery.
